Privacy Policy

Eggspecting is built on a simple idea: your pregnancy is one of the most personal things in your life, and your data should belong to you alone. This policy explains, in plain language, what Eggspecting does and does not do with your information.
1. Who we are
Eggspecting (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is published by BX Precision Engineering (“the developer”). You can reach us any time at support@eggspecting.app.
2. We don’t collect personal data
Eggspecting does not require an account, sign-up, name, email address, or password to use. The information you enter — including how you’re feeling, symptoms, cravings, kicks, notes, photos, appointments, and your due date — is stored locally on your device. We do not receive, see, or store this information on any server we operate.
3. No tracking, no analytics, no ads
The app contains no third-party advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no behavioural tracking. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not use cookies or device identifiers to follow you across apps or websites.
4. Optional features you control
A few features are off by default and only do anything if you choose to turn them on:
- iCloud sync. If enabled, your data syncs through your own private Apple iCloud account so it’s available on your other devices. This data is handled by Apple under your iCloud account and Apple’s terms; we have no access to it and never see it.
- Apple Health. If you grant access, Eggspecting reads selected data (such as sleep) to gently reflect your rest back to you. This is read on your device only. Eggspecting never writes to Health and never transmits Health data anywhere.
- Weather. If you turn on weather, a coarse (approximate) location is sent to Apple’s WeatherKit solely to fetch your local forecast. No health or journal information is ever included. Location is not stored by us.
- Partner sharing. If you invite a partner, your shared content is exchanged through Apple’s private CloudKit sharing within your iCloud — a direct, private share between you and the person you invite. We do not operate or have access to that share, and you can stop sharing at any time.
5. Purchases
Eggspecting Pro is an optional subscription sold through the Apple App Store. Payments are processed entirely by Apple. We never receive your card number or payment details. Apple may share limited, anonymous purchase confirmation with us so the app can unlock Pro features; this contains no medical or journal information. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
6. Your photos
Bump photos and any images you attach are stored within the app’s private storage on your device. They are included in your iCloud sync only if you enable it. They are never uploaded to us.
7. Keeping or deleting your data
Your data is yours. At any time you can:
- Export a complete copy of everything you’ve recorded (CSV, or a printable journal PDF with Pro).
- Delete all of your records and photos from the device, permanently, in a single action. If iCloud sync is on, deleting also removes the data from your iCloud copy.
- Remove the app entirely, which deletes its on-device data.
Because we don’t hold your data, there is nothing for you to request from us — but if you ever have a question, we’re glad to help.
8. Children
Eggspecting is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
9. Security
Your data is protected by your device’s own security. You can also lock the app behind Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. Any iCloud sync is protected by Apple’s account security and encryption.
10. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, note the change in the app. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
